The New York Times on Monday called for the criminal prosecution of 3 surviving members of the Truman White House staff. The two men and one woman are in their late 90s. The Editorial Board of the Times said this trio should be tried for the murder of the half-million Japanese who died in the nuclear bombing attacks on Japan at the end of World War II. In addition, the property and real estate of the Truman Presidential Library in Independence, MO, should be sold and its assets liquidated to establish a repatriation fund for distribution to the surviving Japanese families that lost loved ones in heinous attacks on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
