The Nigerian Army has assured that adequate security would be provided to ensure a peaceful, credible and transparent election. The commander of the 4th Brigade, Nigerian Army Benin, Olajide Laleye, disclosed this to journalists shortly after he assumed duty as the new brigade commander. He said the army is apolitical and will continue to pride itself in professionalism. Laleye who was until his deployment to Benin, the Director of Army public relations, reiterated that security will be intensified across the state to ensure the safety of lives and property.
