The Norton Anthology Of World Religions has just been - TopicsExpress

The Norton Anthology Of World Religions has just been released. It is a secular representation of world religions - I immensely dislike that word because if the India Experiment tells us anything, secular equals anti-Hindu. And heres the proof: The Hinduism section is edited by......Wendy Secular Doniger - who (naturally) wanted to include a poem that showed a certain God in a compromising position with his Mother - the publishers had the good sense to not permit that to happen. She did, however include an essay written by a certain gentleman ( Im sure many of us have read it - it is a fairly common WhatsApp and email link ) that claims that the Taj Mahal is actually a Hindu palace. (Exhibit A, your honor - Hindus are mad, violent people and should be stopped at all costs!) Other religions, I can guess have also been given short shrift - all except one, of course. You guessed it, the religion of pieces...ooops, I mean, peace. No evidence or incidence of violence there. I think Id rather read Sam Harris or Richard Dawkins.
