The Nov. 7th edition of the Montgomery County Chronicle includes a story about the release of an audit detailing the condition of City of Caney finances. The audit revealed numerous discrepancies in city finances, purchase procedures and systems controls. The audit was conducted at the request of Mayor Carol McClure and the Caney City Council and covers 19 months of city finances ending July 31, 2013.
