The Oklahoma State University Black Alumni Society has been awarding scholarships to students since 1995. The scholarships recognize undergraduate students enrolled at OSU-Stillwater and OSU-Tulsa who have excelled in scholarship, leadership service to the campus and community and other outstanding characteristics. Each award is for a one year $1,000 scholarship. Funding for these awards comes from the generous contributions raised at the Annual OSU Black Alumni Scholarship Golf Tournament scheduled for October 24-25, 2014 (Homecoming weekend). The OSU Black Alumni Society is proud of the contributions it makes to support the retention of students in pursuit of a degree. Please encourage any eligible students you may know to apply today! The deadline to apply for 2014-2015 scholarships is Feb. 28, 2014, and the application is available to download online or by clicking the icon at right. You may also pick up a copy of the scholarship application in the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center or at the Multicultural Affairs Office on the second floor of the Student Union. Students who apply for an OSU Black Alumni Society scholarship must meet the criteria below: • Applicants must have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA at Oklahoma State University. • All undergraduate students who are currently enrolled at OSU Stillwater or OSU Tulsa (with a minimum of 12 hours) are eligible. • Applicants must be continuing undergraduate students who are at least a freshman (with a minimum of 12 hours at OSU) at time of application. • Applicants must be an active member (in good standing) of the OSU African-American Student Association (Afro-Am).
