The PAC congratulates the class of 2014 and their educators. We noting the Grade 12 (#matric) results are a reflection of the more than 12 years of work by both educators and learners. Therefore, it measure the quality of foundation, primary and secondary education system. Hence, the PAC receives this results beyond the performance of individual learners. Nevertheless, the results highlights the serious deficiencies in our education system, which remains a colonial education system. Our education system is designed to produce subservient wage slaves rather than critical thinkers, who are able for fend for themselves as entrepreneurs without a master. The mindset of begging for work after 12 years of training rather than creating opportunities is shame. More than 24% of national budget is invested in this social engineering program, which still serve the aspiration of Verwoord and Cecil John Rhodes of exploiting the working class and Africans in particular. The PAC calls on educators to look at role differently as this nation moves forward. They must understand their duty to liberate the mind of the African child and view the classroom as battlefield for the soul of the nation. Moreover, they must realise that they have an opportunity to create a citizen with higher consciousness and more sophisticated culture rather that than good scientists and engineers without African ethics. The PAC further calls for learners to have a choice in language of examination. We remain convinced that most of rural school failing is due to language barrier rather than subject matter comprehension. Hence, the bottom provinces namely Eastern Cape, Limpopo and KwaZulu-Natal have large rural school population. The PAC says that on registration, every learner must choose language of examination for all subjects, especially considering the system upgrade being undertaken by Department of Basic Education. We reject the notion that mathematics or science cannot be taught or assessed in an African language, while the same subjects were discovered by Ancient Africans. Language remain the tool of white dominion that has not be touched in our national discourse.
