The Papillion-La Vista School District is pleased to announce that there are four students named National Merit Semi-Finalists for the 2013-2014 school year. They are Stephanie Schiffert, PLHS, Maggie Anderson, PLSHS, Robert Larsen, PLSHS, and Eliza Snyder, PLSHS. Out of the over one million students who take the PSAT, 50,000 from across the country are chosen to qualify for the National Merit Finalists. Of those students, 16,000 are selected as semi-finalists. The semi-finalists are now in the process of completing a National Merit Finalist application which includes a personal essay, letter of recommendation, coursework information and SAT exam scores. After all applications are received, the finalist lists will be released in the spring.
