The Pike Central High School girls and boys swimming teams posted victories over host Tecumseh in a dual meet held on Saturday, Jan. 18, with the Lady Chargers winning 104-44 and the Chargers winning 105-63. Posting wins in individual events for the Lady Chargers were freshman Maya Frederick (200 freestyle & 100 backstroke), sophomore Ally Sutherland (50 freestyle & 100 freestyle), senior Kendall Dudenhoeffer (200 individual medley and 100 butterfly), freshman Sylvia Henson (diving) and senior Kylee Claridge (100 breaststroke). Posting wins in individual events for the Chargers were freshman Chaney McKinney (200 freestyle & 100 butterfly), junior Aaron Keepes (200 individual medley & 100 breastroke), senior Colton Corlett (50 freestyle & diving) and senior Kyle Keepes (100 backstroke). Pike Central will return to Tecumseh on Thursday, Jan. 23, for the Pocket Athletic Conference Preliminaries, starting at 6:30 p.m., Eastern time, with the Finals set for Saturday, Jan. 25, starting at 9:30 a.m., Eastern time.
