The President tells us the economy is growing and helping the middle class worker. I would like to offer President Obama a lesson in Macroeconomics. On paper, the Stock Market is up and big business is rolling. So how come wages are down 11% while cost of living is up 18% (Forbes, Wall Street Journal). Because the high tech industry is making a ton of money that does not require expansion of new employees. In addition, under Obama, we have the highest corporate taxes in the World. At present time, it is very unattractive to keep jobs here. In the end, what you have are a few good paying jobs and 10 times the number of applicants. This means companies can offer the jobs at a lower wage. I am absolutely baffled that the President doesnt seem to understand this.
