The STU Cross Country Team had a very satisfying season this fall. Mens team captain Paul Nozicka was able to defend his title at the Miramichi Cross Country 5K and then broke a STU record by placing 19th at the AUS Championships. New members on the mens team included Nathaniel Legere, Eduardo Montanez and Stefen Savoy. Womens team captain Marie-pier Levesque was able to defend her title at the Summerside Farmer Helping Farmers 5 Mile Road Race. New members on the womens team included Megan Nicholson, Makayla Oatway, Demara Pafford, and Mallory Ross. Returning members Jamie Graham, Alec Gregg, Paul Nozicka, Claire Flood, Marie-pier Levesque and Elizabeth McArthur were all great role models for the newcomers. Coaches Alex Coffin and Jeff Amos both expect that the cross country team members will be able to translate their training in the fall into successful indoor track seasons as well!
