The Sato Project rescued a father and son from Dead Dog Beach and - TopicsExpress

The Sato Project rescued a father and son from Dead Dog Beach and we named them Gonzalo (dad) and Gonzo (son). They were very bonded and when they were ready to take their freedom ride to NY we werent sure how they would do when they went to separate foster homes. Our incredible foster mom and supporter Keiko worked very hard to find 2 great foster homes for them. We had called Keiko and said we need foster homes for these two dogs and as always Keiko scurried around to find great foster homes for them. One friend of Keikos had fostered for us before and they are wonderful. They fostered Gonzo. The other friend of Keikos who had never fostered for us before and has a dog fostered Gonzalo. Within 2 days of fostering Gonzalo, Misa, his foster mom, decided they could not give him up and officially adopted him. Keiko and Misa had a wonderful friend and her husband who had submitted an adoption application and were looking for a small female dog. Keiko was convinced that Manami and her husband would fall in love with Gonzo if they met him and guess what that is exactly what happened. Manami and Sean met Gonzo, fell in love and adopted him. Here is the other great news, Misa and Manami are very good friends so Gonzalo and Gonzo still get to see each other and have play dates :)). Here is an update from Gonzos mom, Manami Gonzo/now Kozou is sooo cute and adorable, and all of our neighbors and friends think so too. Hes had many play dates already with other dog owners and he is doing so well with people and dogs. He can sit, shake, stay and wait already. He is very smart. He didnt like the cold weather and didnt understand walking with us the first several days, but my friend Aya and her dog from the Sato Project have been helping him walk and he learned quickly its fun thing to do especially with other dogs. Today he visited his birth father dog at Misas house. He was too excited to see him and they play non stop. He didnt want to leave for a while. He has been looking at his reflection in our piano piano a lot, I guess because he misses his father and when he sees himself in the reflection, it looks like papa.... My husband also baked peanut butter banana oat and parsley cookies for the dog, All of dogs in our neighborhood are enjoying them when we take him to the dog run in our local park Best, Sean and Manami Here is an update from Gonzos mom, Misa Here are picture of our kids here! ;). We love Gonzalo. Misa First picture is Gonzo and his family. Second picture is Gonzalo on the left and Gonzalos dog brother on the right :)).
