The Second Epistle of Paul the Apostle to Timothy - Chapter 3 - Taken from the Expositors Study Bible. One of the many things we learn in this chapter is Verse 7 which states: Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of Truth. In other words learning which is wrong because they really dont want to learn the truth. Another thing we learn, and I will take this directly out of the Expositors Study Bible because I think it should be, Verse 5: Having a form of Godliness (refers to all the trappings of Christianity, but without the power,) but denying the power thereof (the modern Church, for all practical purposes, has denied the Cross; in doing this, they have denied that through which the Holy Spirit works, and to Whom the power resides [Rom. 8:1-2, 11; l Cor. 1:18]): from such turn away.
