The Town of Ledgeview will be hosting a Mapping Forum on May 8th (6:00 pm) at the Town Offices. The meeting provides another opportunity for residents, landowners, business owners, and other stakeholders to provide direct input into the development of the updated Comprehensive Plan. During the meeting, CPC will facilitate a Cognitive Mapping Exercise. Cognitive mapping is a unique two-part process that allows participants to graphically express their desired future onto individual land use maps. The first step involves identifying areas within the town that are deemed attractive, unattractive, desirable, and undesirable. The second phase focuses on the creation of land use maps representing each participant’s vision of the future. From these maps, composites are created which will guide the development of the updated Future Land Use Map. Past clients have found this to be one of the most valued and productive tools in developing their comprehensive plans.
