The Traveling Wilburys were an English–American Supergroup consisting of Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty. The band recorded two albums in 1988 and 1990, although Orbison died before the second was recorded. Just a few friends with similar musical interest and pals being pals. After a time together recording, the band needed a name and chose The Traveling Wilburys and each of the Wilbury Brothers adopted a first name persona within the Wilbury clan of brothers. After the initial Traveling Wilburys first release The Traveling Wilburys Vol 1, written by all five men, was recorded over a ten-day period in May 1988, and released on October 18. Roy Orbison died after afterwards. In respect of the passing of Roy, the band put out one more album skipping the Vol 2 title to release Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3. A Rock Video for one video showed an empty chair in honor of Roy Orbison.
