The U2 Ministry Gathering My Dear Preaching Friends, Thank you so very much for your kindness and generosity during my recent health struggle. This is the first time in my life I have been entirely dependent on others and I have been overwhelmed that so many of my friends cared so deeply for my well-being. I will be a better friend, myself, now. At this point I seem to have returned to my old self – good, bad and ugly. :-) I am under a doctor’s care and supervision, however, and he has instructed me to avoid as much stress as possible. This week I resumed my preaching itineraries and even made it back to the gym! I am trying to reclaim my life without overdoing it. Sadly, this means that at this time I am going to have to indefinitely postpone U2 2014. This pains me more than anybody else. This is NOT a cancellation! Just a postponement until I can handle the intense week of activity that surrounds The U2 Gathering. I am so sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment. Please forgive me. As soon as it becomes clear I can carry out my duties as host, I will contact you with a new date. Thank you for understanding my difficult position. I love you guys. My friends are my most priceless collection. In the meantime, I’ll see you on the road for our usual “Mini” U2 Gatherings around the world. ;-) Thank you for being my friend.
