The United States has the largest imprisoned population in the world. Its not about Justice, its about revenue. The States get money from the country itself, the counties and owned prisons get money per prisoner in the beds from the State. Anywhere from 40 to 75 bucks per day, said to help with inmate health issues, but I recall I couldnt even get an advil pill for my headache because I didnt have any money on my books.
