The University of Montana Grizzly Marching Band will play a concert, their final performance of the season, for Missoula audiences at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, in the George and Jane Dennison Theatre. Created by UM Marching Band Director Kevin Griggs and organized by student leaders, “Stadium Echoes” will showcase the band’s yearlong performances. Tickets cost $11 for the general public, $6 for seniors and $5 for students. They can be purchased at the door, at the UMArts Box Office or online at tickets.umtheatredance.org/ by clicking on the Student Ensemble Series page. “In keeping with the high-energy atmosphere of a sporting event, we will have guest appearances by Monte and the UM Dance Team, who perform with us during the regular season,” said Max Hill, Grizzly Marching Band drum major and one of the event’s organizers. Featured music includes that of James Bond films, swing and rock music and superhero movie tunes. Students also will perform the stand music that is played between downs at the Grizzly football games. For more information about the event, visit https://facebook/events/1378791752365415/.
