The Wyomissing School Board HAS AND IS SPENDING YOUR TAX DOLLARS on the DENIED fence project. Legal fees specific to this stadium project in November 2013 alone totaled $5415. They voted 7-2 last week to enter a costly and lengthy legal battle with the Borough of Wyomissing and gave themselves the power to spend what is necessarily to do so, despite zoning denial, community backlash, current $500,000 budget deficit and required $800,000 retirement fund contribution. Please get informed, attend meetings, and let the Board know that wasteful spending on this unsubstantiated, unnecessary, and unwanted project is irresponsible and they need to re-focus their priorities- education, budget and looming teacher contract negotiations!
