The biscuit romance continues. This particular pic because one needs to kiss those few cheesy frogs to find Prince Charming. Lets get a little cheesy and spice up things. Cheese cookie. Ingredients Flour 200 gm Unsalted butter 100gm Cheese...100gm Salt ...a pinch Egg yolk...1 Nuts..optional Egg wash Pepper Paprika ...optional...if you want to add spice Nuts ..optional...I used almonds Method Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Line a baking tray with butter paper. Add small pieces of chilled butter to the flour. Then tip in grated cheese. Add salt and pepper. Rub in the butter and cheese with your finger tips till it resemble bread crumbs. Add the egg and knead to form a ball. You may require a few drops of water to make the dough. Roll out the dough between two sheets of plastic or cling film to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut using a cookie cutter. Put on baking sheet. Brush with egg wash using a pastry brush. Sprinkle nuts and and bake till light brown Leave to cool Store your cookies in an airtight jar.
