He invaded the devil’s own territory, hunted him down, and tackled death and hell head on. No such encounter could be bloodless. When Abel was murdered, God said to Cain “Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground” for revenge. But Christ’s blood doesn’t cry ‘revenge!’, but ‘REDEMPTION!’ Abel was robbed of his life. Jesus Christ gave His life, for us. Hebrews 12:24 says “the sprinkled blood (of Jesus Christ) speaks better things than the blood of Abel”. It declares Divine forgiveness.
