The body of work in the show holds particular significance, as it brings forth the abstract practices and marks the journey from his figurative to abstract contribution in the modern scenario of Indian art. These drawings, from the 1960s onward, remain a witness to the artistic endeavours of modern Indian art. This show, consisting of forty five drawing from the master, will create a space for us to look back on the meditative practice of Ram Kumar, says Vikram Bachhawat, director, Aakriti Art Gallery. The preview was held on November 7, while the exhibition was simultaneously opened on the website aakritiartgallery. The artist himself is present for the exhibition, that provides a glimpse of his work.
