The boys who didnt find a new home during the Trade Period still - TopicsExpress

The boys who didnt find a new home during the Trade Period still have a few chances left to continue their footy careers at elite level in 2015. From November 1-12, players who have been cut can be signed by the club of their choice in the first delisted free agent window. There is then a second window from November 14-19 and lastly from November 28 to December 1, immediately after the Draft. Before the introduction of free agency, the traditional way for players to find a new home was via the Pre-Season Draft, which this year will be held on Wednesday, December 3. Only clubs with list space remaining can take part in the pre-season draft. Whether via delisted free agency or the pre-season draft a few boys will be looking for a new home, would you give any of these guys a go on your list? Tim Membrey Almost guaranteed to make his way to St Kilda, The Swans Swans forward is only 20 years old so could still have a bit to offer. Taylor Hunt This 23 year old run-with midfielder has played 63 matches with the Cats, will he fins a club to take a chance on him? Mitch Robinson 25 year old midfielder/half-forward seems likely to not be continuing his carrier at the Blues in 2015 despite not being able to go via trade, thus making him a delisted free agent prospect from early in the trade period. There has seemed to be little interest in the by BUT this could just be the fact that Clubs werent going to hand over compo to the Blues once they knew they could secure Robinson for free. Kane Lucas Labelled a wanted player by the Blues early in the trade period, the 23 year old out-of-favour midfielder is now without a guaranteed home for 2015. He was originally linked to both WA clubs during trade time, but they werent prepared to trade for him. Could he find a new home as a delisted free agent if the Blues let him go? George Burbury At 22 you would think the Geelong forward would be wanted but he attracted little interest in the trade period after briefly being linked to West Coast early. He only managed seven games with the Cats, after suffering a broken jaw during the 2014 NAB Cup and a serious hamstring injury early in the season. Would you take him? Elliott Kavanagh The 21 year old put himself on the trade table after a lack of exposure in three seasons with the Bombers. He is contracted for 2015 so is now likely to stay with Essendon after a lack of offers came his way but could still go via free agency but not the PS draft is my understanding. Kieran Harper The 22-year-old was open to a trade after struggling with injury and form over the past two seasons. He met with the Doggies and was part of a proposed trade with Cooney going to Arden Street. That obviously didnt eventuate, however, and he may remain at the Roos. If he didnt would you pick him up? Jason Tutt The 23-year-old speedster gave his intention to leave the Kennel in the lead-up to the trade period but Thursdays 2pm deadline passed without any movement. Carlton is confident it can secure the 23-year-old via the pre-season draft. Are Blues fans happy with this? To other supporters, if the Blues did pass him up would you want him for your team? Sam Blease The 23 year old with pace parted ways with demons before the trade period started. Would you have him at your club? -Jade
