The commercial on T.V of the baby in a highchair eating spaghetti and all messy and the little girl gets the dish cloth to clean it up and the mother takes it from her and uses a paper towel because the dish cloth holds germs. I really dont remember having paper towles or toilet tissue growing up. I really dont know how people survied .We used the dish-rag [as we use to call it] to wash dishes,clean the counter top and wipe off the stove.Then drape it over the dish pan to dry for the next meal. As for toilet tissue,the sears catalog was always in the outhouse. NO GERMS Darn we even missed out on the flu shots, for colds there was the vicks and castor-oil, I think that would have even made a sick cow well. Oh well these days when someone dont feel well they run to the doctor because they dont know how to use vicks and castor-oil and they dont use the ol dish-rag and the sears catalog But then maybe theyre not as tough as we were back in the OLD DAYS
