The concept of the new bill is incorrect. The bill proposes to give them landed immigrant status - they would still have to apply for citizenship - it is not automatic - and would take 13 years. What people do not understand is that they would then pay TAXES which they are not doing now - nor is there enough money to round up and deport them all. What needs to change is the fact that being born here gives you automatic citizenship - it should be ONLY if one of your parents is already a citizen. The pork attached to this bill is also absurd. I really wish people would check their facts before posting things like this.
