The day I shot this video of Todd Kennmer and myself, it was just two guys in the process of becoming incredibly close friends. We were at the little park on the shore of where the ocean meets the the ship canal, talking about music mostly-we had this thing where I would play somebody from the olden days and then he would play something modern-and I had my camera in one hand or the other just kind of helicoptering it around as we talked. The raw footage has been lost-as far as I know at this point-but, Im pretty sure that Ricky Nelsons, Teen Age Idol was playing during the first part. Todd had said something not too complimentary about Ricky Nelson,afterward, and the last 10 seconds is Todd explaining why Ricky really didnt do it for him. The music playing over the bulk of the clip is the title track from the the CD Things Change, by the band Coho, which was made up of members of Todds band. The vocal is Todd, from a tape found after his death.
