The day of regional music died with the mix tape, those - TopicsExpress

The day of regional music died with the mix tape, those underground tapes were not cleared by record labels because of the great tracks used (thats why the great DJs of the 90s made great tapes but not do good cds youd get at the record store). Before having access to anything from where on the internet a music scene could have time to develop, now someone in Chicago can use somebodys stuff from London 10 minutes after them making it. Way back then there was a distinctive and unique sound from city to city, country to country now there is the the de-evolution or melting pot effect. I feel this is why as many people say music today stinks.
