The devil is a liar. In my opinion, there are many like Dr. Ben Carson, who seem to be taking the opportunity to build their brand around the most extreme and controversial views the can express. His (Dr. Carson) accomplishments seem laudable, but his present opinions about current affairs call his logic into question, even from the open minded, of which I consider myself to be. They are using their platform and incendiary rhetoric to garner personal attention, acclaim, and most likely, wealth. No doubt, the target demographic they are reaching will buy the new and/or reheated products they are peddling. Maybe the good doctor has fallen on hard economic times, or is simply willing to trade his thought for gold. Either way, their behavior, the Ted Cruz, Sarah Palins, 999, Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh and others, is creating a caustic environment and retarding world evolution. They should stop or go ahead and secede. They can have Texas, Arizona, Idaho, North Dakota, Minnesota and Alaska. I say that with love and the deepest consideration for the greater good.
