The district is now number 16 in the world in terms of the number of clubs we have. We have grown 4 clubs so far this year and more are coming. That said, we need to make sure that our members goals are being met: turning in officer lists, attending officer training this June, turning in awards as soon as they are earned and asking our graced members to come back to the meetings. In addition, we are 83 in the world in terms of distinguished clubs. Every club officer who has a CC and CL should be turning in an ALB this year. If they do not have a CL, they should be turning on in before June 15. Last year our district was last in the world in terms of distinguished clubs - we can do so much better and help reward our clubs and their members by being distinguished. We have 20 distinguished clubs so far - 5 who are just short an education or leadership award. We have another 17 that have this month to gain their distinguished, select distinguished or presidents distinguished status by encouraging membership growth and retention and turning in just one or two awards. We also have 3 or 4 clubs with 3 goals already attained that can do it with just a bit of work. Kim Myers - DG
