The enforcement of PI in the NFL is an absolute joke. How much sense does it make to have the most subjective call for an official result in the most yards penalized? Why is there the assumption the receiver would automatically catch the ball if the foul didnt occur? That would be the only argument you could present that justifies making the rule that way? Theres no guarantee the reciever would have caught the ball? No rule and subsequent penalty should be made based on an assumption. They should re-adopt spot of the foul or 15 yards max. Applying 30 yards or more against the defense because of some back and forth hand-fighting that the ref subjectively awards to the offense basically ruins the game. Ridiculous.
