The event is a tribute to all the women who generation, after generation created variations on the Romanian blouse. Each blouse is not only proof of their craftsmanship, but also a work of art that speaks about cultural identity. The exhibit contains rare pieces from the late 1800s to the beginning of the 1900s. These examples of traditional dress tell a story, and my mission is to continue telling the story of the Romanian blouse. Please join us in viewing and wearing a beautiful Romanian blouse. If you don’t have one, come to the exhibition wearing an example of traditional dress, or accessories belonging to your cultural heritage. Let’s transform the 26th of June, a day in which we celebrate cultural diversity by sharing the stories that our traditional dress can tell, just as our ancestors did.
