The good days keep on coming. My hops are almost dry enough to make the beer (1oz for 2 galls bitter) 1.5oz for a gallon of brown ale...maybe tomorrow. More raspberries picked & jam made. Then to finish the day we made a trip to Gloucester for a few viewings in the Heritage w/e open days - The Guildhall, below the pavement to the Roman remains at Eastgate, the Bell Inn where my ancestor used to entertain his cronies, the medieval undercroft of the Fleece Hotel (now closed) and up the alley to look at a fab 5storey jettied house in Westgate. Too much to take in & I need to think about the places & if & where they might fit in my family history. Oh and a swift visit to St Nicholas where my 4X great grandfather was married. Phew!
