The half-way point in Davids initial treatment reached, and an update in his own words ..as for the cancer thing, a big thanks to everyone for their good wishes when I let the cat out of the bag. Theres not a great deal to say at the moment, except that today was radiotherapy session #14 of 28 (Im now 50% Hulk) - halfway done on the first stage of treatment. Touch wood there are precious few side effects of that so far. No nausea (although I do feel a bit queasy when I pick up my tablets twice a day - not taking them, thats fine, just picking them up. Weird.), no hair loss, no feeling ill. The one thing that has emerged is the need to slow down (physically) and take my time over things, I also cant walk more than about half a mile with feeling like Im about to keel over - but thats pretty easy to work around. I must offer my thanks to Jude Gardener for her patience and understanding (most of the time, at least ) So, another three weeks to go, fourteen more zaps from the machine and god knows how many pills, but the end is as near as the beginning and everything is OK. Got a review with the oncologist on Friday, after which I may actually know something about how things are progressing, I have no reason to expect anything other than good news
