The headline should actually read, St. Louis Rams Protest Ferguson Decision With Hands Up while being protected by police officers. While each of these five players has a right to their opinion, here they are representing the St. Louis Rams and the NFL. Tight end Jared Cook made the ridiculous statement, No matter what happened on that day, no matter how the whole situation went down, there has to be a change. The problem is, Jared...it does matter what happened on that day. Either Officer Wilson shot Michael Brown while Brown had his hands up and was trying to surrender or Officer Wilson was simply defending himself from the attack of a 300 pound man, high on marijuana. Your actions tell us all what you believe, Jared...unless you are completely full of shit and are just trying to gain attention off of this tragic incident. Outside of the stadium protesters are shouting, No justice, no football! Whats stopping them from entering the stadium, Jared? Whats keeping you safe so that you can prance around and make your political statement? What protected the players and the stadium when the riots were going on? The St. Louis Rams actually asked police to assure the safety of their players and fans. Jared Cook said players have been too busy to go to Ferguson, plus its kind of dangerous down there and none of us want to get caught up in anything. What makes Ferguson dangerous, Jared? Is it the racist white cops? I think we all know what hes talking about. That community wants to pay police officers to deal with situations that they want nothing to do with. Expecting them to use magic police ninja powers to fix what no other community safety net has been able to even slow down. Everyone keeps mouthing off that there needs to be change...change to what? Heres an idea, why dont we send the St. Louis Rams in to take care of the community? Those strong community-minded men should have have no problem controlling the situation without using any physical force, foul language or the ability to defend themselves.
