The hipster bashing, or overuse of the phrase in general I find comical and irritating at the same time. First labels are ridiculous. Second I remember back in the day when the phrase hipster wasnt really a bad thing. Wasnt really even a word yet. If you occasionally shopped at thrift stores, had good taste in music, art, fashion, found your own creative groove, that was legit. Now, so many posers have taken over that idea, generically churned out by media brainwashing, trendy social stereotyping, fashion faux-pas, irony abuse, pretentious pretenders void of real substance. Now there is a look and a label. The alternative always gets appropriated by the mainstream. Culture vultures.
