The material manifestation is a place of bondage and enslavement for the immortal soul trapped as creature in the perpetual cycle of birth and death. How the transient creature may escape from mundane existence and become liberated is His glorious plan of evolution and it is enacted by the sword of knowledge which destroys materialism by the weapon of non-attachment. Man lies within the jurisdiction of the law of karma and remains bound to the wheel as long as he identifies himself with the mind and the body. The moment he breaks this attachment and detaches himself from this false identity, then he destroys this ignorance utterly and realizes his transcendence, his oneness with the pure spiritual consciousness. The law cannot any longer touch that soul whose life has become illuminated with the essential knowledge that he is neither body nor mind, but pure consciousness. The name of God is the only wealth that lasts forever. Therefore, undertake chanting His Name as a lifelong activity. Whether your voice is good or not, continue to sing the glory of God at least in your heart. Thereby, you will acquire merit that will protect you throughout your life. If you do this spiritual discipline, God will always help you in all your endeavors, be they physical, moral, worldly, religious or spiritual.
