The message today was very good and I was sharply reminded of someone that was in our congregation. As the Pastor spoke I was transported back in time. About 7 or maybe 8 years ago we had a woman attending our church, this woman had her share of heartache and baggage. I became so engrossed of stories told to me of her, (I did not know her personally but my sister did.) she enjoyed hanging out at a local bar, and her best buddies and her would spend many a day just drinking, smoking and enjoying the atmosphere. But on Sunday, she would be at church engrossed in the teachings of the WORD. After church she would once again enter the local bar with a beer in one hand, and drink in the other and she would call her friends to come and see what the Pastor taught her in church. And yes at the Bar she would open the Word and begin teaching. I never got tired of hearing of this woman and her teaching and I loved her although I never met her. Jesus told us to come as we are. It simply astonishes me how the Lord continues to change us from the inside out. God begins an inward working on the heart.
