The more I read and learn from insiders and beat writers, the more I understand the UGA Athletic Administration has handled Todds issue very poorly. Youd think after the AJ Green debacle, wed have processes set to efficiently deal with such as this. The public relations from the AA has been horrific. I feel sorry for Richt and what hes had to deal with through the years. He cant even play with a full deck of cards because of the ineptness of this administration. Yes, this is Todds fault, but our administration has let him down in the recovery process. They are soft and have laid down to the NCAA, who is nothing more than a general with no army, a bully if you will. I state again, Todd is to initially blame, but the public relations and reinstatement process has been as big a debacle as it can be. Its obvious that Todd is loved by the Dawgnation, and even a lot of the college football nation. He has paid his dues. He didnt rape or steal, and I dont want UGA to be as pathetic as these other schools that allow such to still play. But everything points to that he has served a satisfactory punishment sitting out 1 game. He should be on the field tomorrow, no questions asked. If McGarity asked for a 2 game suspension just to be safe, then he needs to feel heat. With that said, I hope this is all a nightmare and Todd is reinstated this morning and boards the plane at lunch. That reinstatement request that the NCAA called us out on should be the first order of business this AM. There are a LOT of ticked off people about this thing, and not only UGA fans.
