The more I read books on science, philosophy, history, religion, maths, and everything else, the more I have become fascinated with how knowledge and civilisation go hand in hand. In order for books on such subjects to be written, society must have evolved and developed enough to the point that these thoughts could be reached. In turn, civilisation itself cannot progress any further without the knowledge from these books. It ends up becoming a chicken or the egg scenario, where one cannot exist or develop without the existence and development of the other. I guess the more I think on it, the more convoluted it gets...
