The most precious and valuable artifact in the world is the Ark of the Covenant. The hunt for it has been featured on numerous TV specials and mega Hollywood productions such as Indiana Jones. If it is essentially just a wooden box overlayed with gold, then why is it so valuable? This is because In the Old Testament, the Ark carried the tangible presence of God. Whenever the Israelites had the Ark with them (and were obedient) , they were simply unbeatable. Even though the Ark carried the presence of God, it was just a symbol; a type and shadow of things to come. A symbol of what?? It is a symbol of you and me. In 2014, the Ark has no value (to God). This is because the tangible presence of God resides in you and me today. And knowing that you are carrying Him everywhere we go, makes us unbeatable in whatever we do, just as the Israelites were unbeatable in battle. Settle it in your mind today that YOU are the ark of the covenant. You are a holy vessel pure and perfected by the Spirit of God, emanating with the radiance, glow, and POWER of God himself flowing through YOU!! But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us 2 Corinthians 4:7
