The new #Imam of Jama Masjid here seems to be a #freak and an #idiot. Before the Eid prayers today, he announced that after the namaz and sermon, people should not greet each other with hugs. This according to him is supposedly not a part of (Sunni) Islamic tradition,and a creation of #Shias ! After the namaz, he delivered two very long sermons in Arabic, which the majority of the people here cant comprehend. And, i would not be surprised to know that he was uttering plain gibberish with no knowledge of the language. Listening to him reminded me of the following couplet of Iqbal Chachu : quom kya hai, quomon ki imamat kya hain, ye kya jaane bechare do rakat ke imam.
