The news is great. Surgery done but it was a very long day. The surgeon said that the aortic valve was more diseased than she thought it was and she had to scrape a lot of plaque away from the area around it. She did not do the by-passes as she found the veins were very deep within the heart and she did not want to put him through 3 more hours of surgery. She felt that they were not serious enough to worry about. Saw him a couple of times and his ears and feet are already getting pink. He cant talk because he still is intubated but he could nod Yes when I asked him if he felt like a truck had run over him. The tubes and some of the wires and things will be out tomorrow or Friday. I am so relieved.
