The next time you’re near the valet entrance at the Anschutz - TopicsExpress

The next time you’re near the valet entrance at the Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion, stop and appreciate our beautiful, recently donated sculptures called “The Dancers.” They were donated to the hospital by Texan business owner, Roger Winter to honor the memory of his daughter, Katherine Winter Burkhart, who lost her battle with pancreatic cancer shortly after the birth of her second child this past fall. Roger noted the sculptures have been in the family for years. The decision to donate them sprung from a visit by Dr.Christopher Lieu who visited Katherine while she was in the Infusion Center. It was a bleak day and he told her that next time he’d bring interpretive dancers. The sculptures represent those dancers. Take a look at the unveiling ceremony and photos of the sculptures.
