I would like us to proceed by answering the question in my second paragraph below and then giving biblical reasons for your answer according to the guidelines provided in my third paragraph below. Which of these arguments do you regard as biblically correct? (1) The Bible does not say that women are to be ordained as pastors; therefore it is wrong to ordain women as pastors. (2) The Bible does not say that women are not to be ordained as pastors; therefore, it is right to ordain women as pastors. (3) The Bible does not say whether or not women are to be ordained as pastors; therefore, it may be right or it may be wrong to ordain women as pastors. If you think that number 1 is biblically correct, please share the biblical text(s) that show that we cannot do anything except what the bible explicitly prescribes. If you think that number 2 is biblically correct, please share the biblical text(s) that show that we are allowed to do everything that the Bible does not prohibit. If you think that number 3 is biblically correct, please share the biblical texts that show principles that may guide us in whether or not to ordain women?
