The prolonged ASUU Strike would soon be called off as the Academic Staff Union of Universities and the Federal Government are working to meet reasonable demands of ASUU within a week or two at most. The government has agreed to meet some reasonable demands of ASUU such as the reconstitution of boards and councils and the retirement age of Professors. Progress is being made. Prof. Ukachukwu Awuzie , the National President of ASUU also confirmed that progress is being made and that the leadership of ASUU has met with the government at the ministerial level as well as at the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
