The real Dracula was named Vlad The Impaler. The Roman Empire split into the Western Roman Empire and The Eastern Roman Empire in 390 A.D. In 476 A.D. The Western Roman Empire collapsed and from that point on The Eastern Roman Empire is known as The Byzantine Empire. The Byzantine Empire collapsed in 1411 due to Muslim invasion when Constantinople, the capital,was toppled by the Muslims. Today, it is known as Instambul, Turkey. After the sacking of Constantinople, the Muslims continued to invade the northern parts of the previous Byzantine Empire. But when they came to Romania, they were faced with Vlad The Impaler. The Muslims were never able to conquer Romania. They went on to invade The Balkans and eventually Austria until they were turned back by a mulitnational European Army at the gates of Vienna.
