The reality of Levis opinion about Palestine, Israel and Nazis. I agree with Levi that the comparison between the Nazi Regime and the Israeli Regime can only go so far and is open to absurd exploitation. As I think Uri Avnery points out in Counterpunch, Israel is a traumatized victim of European war crimes, not a spontaneous aggressor persecuting people at will (the way Europeans still seem to love doing, at least from the point of view of their centralized governments and corporations). That does not mean Israeli war crimes do not exist or do not need to be IMMEDIATELY stopped. It means that the term war crime, which means something far worse in terms of why Nazis did it all, appears to be used for two different actions, and they are very different. Nazis even justified their actions by claiming that Jews had an evil ideology and were terrorists and it was not just the act of doing that which made the nazis so sick (since Israel and NATO now definitely do the same thing to Muslims). Israel has no Nazi intention, although its ally the USA clearly does, and has worked extensively with Nazis. Ariel Sharon boasted publicly that presidents of the USA bowed down and grovelled at the feet of their masters the Israeli government, in order to reassure Israeli voters.
