The scriptures are full of the compassion of Almighty God for people who have trouble and trials in their lives. Jesus reached out to the outcast on a regular basis in fact so much He was condemned by the religious people of His day as being a lover of sinners and outcast. I pray that God help the people who know Him to become more like Him and touch the lives of the outcast of our day. Jesus was a friend of sinners and the outcast so let us be a people who love the unlovely and allow the love of Jesus to flow through us to them. “The Son of Man (Jesus) came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’” This is from Matthew 11:19. Lord help me be a friend of sinners like Jesus Christ!
