The search for Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model quite literally reached the shores of Barbados when producers arrived on island to film several episodes and the finale for Series 9 of the hit TV reality show. What with camera crews, make-up and hair-styling teams, models and the celebrity judging panel of Elle Mcpherson, Tyson Beckford and Dannii Minogue the island was a virtual whirlwind of activity for about two weeks between March and April. FundAccess client Unique Productions Worldwide Ltd (UPWL) were local producers for the show and engaged several local suppliers to provide myriad services on the ground as they pulled out all the stops to ensure a successful production of the four episodes and the finale. The BINTM producers contacted UPWL after learning of the company’s work and experience in producing the annual BB Fashion Week. “The filming of Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model in Barbados was a fantastic achievement not only for UPWL, but also for the entire island,” said Rodney Powers of CEO of UPWL. "After more than eight years of working in fashion, it was tremendously satisfying to be selected to work with the show and we certainly are well aware of the benefits to Barbados, some of which cannot be easily measured in dollars.” BINTM Series 9 began airing on the UK’s Sky Living HD on June 13th, episode 10 which was the first episode filmed in Barbados aired on August 15.
