The secretary general of the United Nations, BAN Ki-moon, landed - TopicsExpress

The secretary general of the United Nations, BAN Ki-moon, landed in Cuba today to attend CELAC, Community of Latin America and Caribbean States, summit. Earlier today he was quoted saying that he was interested in seeing how the UN could help Cuba. Will the United States take this as a sign to further ameliorate its relations with Cuba or will this visit be ignored? I am very happy to be in Cuba, next to this great anniversary of José Martí, the head of the UN said in the José Martí airport and also said he has great interest in meeting with Cuban President Raul Castro and other Cuban authorities.I am very interested in the process of change that is occurring in Cuba and so am very interested in knowing what is being done and how the UN can support this process, he said.
