The setting of the Musee Chagall in Nice is landscaped in swathes - TopicsExpress

The setting of the Musee Chagall in Nice is landscaped in swathes of native Mediterranean planting - clipped evergrey santolinas, buxus and lavenders in blocks are interspersed with pencil cypresses for vertical accent and olive trees referencing the agricultural mood of the region. Block plantings of agapanthus vary the texture. I would personally replace the grassed lawns with gravelled surfaces, probably in a simple design using areas of differently-sized stones to further articulate the space and reduce maintenance and water usage. What do you think?
